3 LTC groups make leadership changes
In late December, the American Medical Directors Association suddenly dismissed its long-time executive director Lorraine Tarnove. She had been with the organization for 15 years.
In a press release announcing Tarnove's departure, the Columbia, MD-based association did not offer any specific reasons for her dismissal, and several AMDA staffers, as well as Tarnove, declined to comment.
At the National Association of Directors of Nursing/Long Term Care, Robin Arnicar was elected president of the Cincinnati-based group, and immediate past president Sherrie Dornberger, who had been serving as interim executive director, was named to that position permanently. Three others also took new offices.
Finally, the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists named Vera Jackson as the association's executive director and CEO.
Jackson replaces John Feather who left the organization in late September. Jackson has studied elder services, publishing numerous articles on geriatric issues.
