Carex Health Brands recently added several portable lifting seats to its line of mobility aids. The electric Power Seat plugs into a standard 120-volt outlet and provides complete lift support.  The seat can be stopped at any height with the flip of a switch and works on most armchairs or sofas throughout the home and away from home. The portable Seat Assist requires no electricity and can be used at home or when traveling. The Seat Assist provides assistance up and down, using a hydro-pneumonic gas spring that automatically helps to safely lower and lift up to 70% of the user's body weight. The seats are ideal for those struggling with arthritis, circulatory issues, Parkinson's disease or weight-related issues, according to the firm.
