NeuroMetrix has received federal clearance to market its Sensus transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulator. The product was designed to help diabetics manage chronic pain. The stimulator works by creating an electronic current that prevents nerve pain signals from reaching the patient’s brain. “This product has attracted attention among healthcare providers because of its potential benefit,” said Shai N. Gozani, the firm’s chief executive.
