NCBAC™  — National Certification Board for Alzheimer Care has received approval for its Alzheimer Caregiver Guide from Florida for its requirements for direct care workers in dementia care.

NCBAC offers the online training for candidates who aim to sit for the CAC – Certified Alzheimer’s Caregiver™ exam.

The guide is ideally part of a hybrid training. Direct care workers complete the eight-module online guide, which includes a 25-question practice quiz. Afterwards, supervisors should follow up with in-person training sessions.

In Florida, nursing homes, adult day care and hospice have one hour followed up by three hours for direct care workers in dementia care.

More topics can be seen here. NCBAC offers two certifications based on the healthcare licensure model: CAC – Certified Alzheimer Caregiver™ and CAEd – Certified Alzheimer Educator™
