National Nursing Home Week to raise caregiving awareness

Providers around the country will begin hosting events and observances celebrating National Nursing Home Week starting Sunday. The week is to honor facility staff, volunteers and other long-term care professionals, according to its sponsor, the American Health Care Association.

A House Resolution dated April 22 and introduced by U.S. Rep Michael Arcuri (D-NY) “encourages the people of the United States to observe National Nursing Home Week with appropriate ceremonies and activities.”
