In the year ahead, 14% of adults will use a mobile health app to manage chronic conditions and other health-related matters, according to a report from IDC. The prediction follows a recent Pew survey that showed nearly 10% of adult Americans are already using mobile health apps to keep a closer eye on their well-being. “Health reform will make these approaches even more important as the industry shifts to new delivery and reimbursement models,” the research firm predicts.
