'Mist' opportunity could change disinfection practices

A new approach to disinfection could revolutionize the way healthcare facilities prevent healthcare-acquired infections, experts say. This new technique sterilizes everything by pumping an ozone and hydrogen peroxide vapor gas mixture into a resident's room. The process takes about one hour to complete, according to developers at Canada's Queen's University and Medizone International.
