By any standard, much of what's being reported about nursing homes these days could hardly be considered good news. I could point out many examples, but the point is clear: There's a lot of bad coverage out there. So I was pleasantly surprised to see some recent industry-related copy that goes against the usual grain.
Attitude determines altitude. You make your breaks. People are about as happy as they make their minds up to be. They're all somewhat overused yet admirable sayings people live by. Nursing home operators might want to remember them. Otherwise, it's easy to miss that providers aren't always getting hammered by authorities or officials.
At first it looked like just another round of whining about the media. Nothing gets more tedious than long-term care providers making off-base comments about their portrayal in the popular press.
