Medline Industries Inc. is showcasing innovative infection prevention products during this week's APIC conference in Baltimore. These include Bioguard barrier dressings. These dressings contain a cationic polymer that kills a wide spectrum of microbes, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). The Medline booth will also feature the government-approved BioFriend surgical face mask, as well as the PerfecTemp OR table pad. The pad helps reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers.

Tuesday at midnight was the deadline for most states to have completed their budget proposals for the coming fiscal year. Many didn't make it, placing state services, including Medicaid programs, at risk of significant cuts.
