Providers using MDI Achieve's MatrixCare™ and Homecare Homebase will gain benefits that include field connection to all patient/resident information, automated documentation of services provided, secure data exchange between long-term care facilities and homecare providers, improved continuity of care and ease of coordination, and simplified and consistent capture of patient/resident data.
» A half dozen electronic health record vendors have formed a non-profit organization called the Commonwell Health Alliance. The organization's goal is to create a national infrastructure with common platforms and policies that allow medical records systems to work together — a task that has proven elusive.
