McKnight’s Long-Term Care News will be reporting from the 2013 LeadingAge Annual Meeting & Expo in Dallas next week.

The opening General Session on Oct. 27 will feature Aimee Mullins, who will speak on overcoming adversity. After having her lower legs amputated due to a medical condition, Mullins went on to break world track records. Subsequent General Sessions will feature best-selling author and nonprofit innovator Dan Pallotta, and National Geographic writer and explorer Dan Buettner.

Education sessions will tackle topics that include the changing Medicaid environment, care transitions, staff compensation and long-term care financing.

Expo hours will be 12:00 to 3:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Stop by Booth #1005 to meet the McKnight’s team, renew a subscription or to pick up a copy of the October issue, award-winning Industry Directory or the Dealmaker’s Handbook.
