McKnight's Fall Online Expo

It will be back to school for students in a few weeks — but they don’t have to be the only ones learning new things this fall. McKnight’s 3rd Annual Fall Online Expo will return Sept. 9, with the first of three webinars kicking off at 11 a.m. Eastern Time.

As usual, the daylong event is free and will include the ability to earn up to three continuing education credits.

The Expo will begin with “Letting them go with style,” a session on the importance of employee departures led by Eleanor Feldman Barbera, Ph.D., (also well-known as the author of McKnight’s popular blog The World According to Dr. El).

At 12:30 p.m., Patricia J. Boyer, MSM, RN, NHA, will take the floor for “The New Face of Medicare Reimbursement,” a webinar on Medicare reimbursement changes providers can expect to see in the next two years.

Capping off the expo at 2 p.m. Eastern is Gregory L. Alexander, Ph.D., leading a webinar entitled “Assessing the impact of technology on quality in nursing homes.” Alexander, a professor at the Sinclair School of Nursing at the University of Missouri, will inform participants on the “triangle of IT sophistication” in nursing homes — resident care management, clinical support and integration.
