The creme de la creme of long-term care health information technology will gather Monday and Tuesday at the Baltimore Airport Marriott Hotel for the Long-Term Care Health Information Technology Summit. They will reveal what progress has been made with regard to interoperability, standards, certification and adoption rates--and feature a hands-on interoperability "showcase" where companies and providers will demonstrate products and services. Government healthcare officials and other experts also will dissect what the new administration means for LTC information technology, how the economic stimulus package will impact providers and much more. Networking sessions will delve into electronic health records, e-prescribing and home health, among other topics.
