Louisville Innovation Summit winner chosen today

A winner among the Louisville Innovation Summit finalists will be chosen today. The 10 finalists are all involved in bringing aging-care innovations to market, and the winner will receive $20,000. The summit, which began Tuesday, brought together leaders and entrepreneurs in the technology, academic, design and healthcare fields.

Louisville Innovation Summit to bring top LTC leaders, entrepreneurs together

The inaugural Louisville Innovation Summit will convene Tuesday and Wednesday to examine and discuss options for bringing innovation to long-term care. Five of the nation's largest senior care providers are collaborating on the event: Kindred Healthcare, ResCare Inc., Signature HealthCare, Trilogy Health Services, and Humana Inc. The conference will focus on C-suite initiatives but also include an exposition (called "The Entrepreneur's Garage"), which will showcase things such as smart-home technology and robotic aids.
