Light of Hearts Villa in Ohio has become the first senior living community in Ohio to install STANLEY Healthcare’s AeroScout® Wi-Fi Emergency Call Solution.

The product allows residents to call for assistance both in the building and anywhere on the grounds around a community. Residents wear an AeroScout call pendant, which uses Wi-Fi and communicates to the company’s MobileView® enterprise software.

The villa wanted to increase safety for residents outside the apartments, reduce audible alarms, use Wi-Fi and see data on response time and resident call patterns, according to Betty Hickle, executive director of Light of Hearts Villa. “STANLEY Healthcare was the only vendor able to provide a solution that combined all these elements,” she said.

Light of Hearts Villa has 90 independent living and assisted living apartments, and is a co-sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati and the Sisters of Charity Health System. The SC Ministry Foundation, The Eva L. and Joseph M. Bruening Foundation, and the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland provided funding for AeroScout.
