Leaders attend Direct Supply conference

Nearly 30 nursing leaders from skilled nursing and assisted living communities recently participated in Direct Supply's 5th annual Clinical Leadership Conference: “Continuing Quality in Challenging Times.” During the conference, nurses gained insight into the latest in research and best practices in the use of pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions for residents with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias. They also discussed the benefits and challenges with implementing a nurse residency program into a Long Term Care environment and heard from a panel of experts who shared expertise and answered questions on how providers can begin preparing for QAPI regulations.  “This conference is one of many ways we're reaching out to post-acute-care nurses,” said Liz Jensen, RN/MSN, Direct Supply's clinical director.
