Inovonics and Mercury Security, which makes OEM access control hardware, have announced a technology partnership.
This will allow Mercury’s OEM partners to incorporate Inovonics’ mobile duress wireless network within its access control platform, the companies said. Specifically, Mercury will integrate Inovonics’ EN6080 Area Control Gateway with the Authentic Mercury branded hardware to offer an integrated access control platform with Enterprise Mobile Duress capabilities.
Overall, users will have an extra layer of protection, and best-of-breed solutions can be deployed quickly, the company said. Security personnel will be able to track the identity and location of the person assigned to each pendant as they move through the building, the company said.
“We are very excited about our technology partnership with Inovonics and the ability to deliver Enterprise Mobile Duress capabilities through the Authentic Mercury platform,” said Frank Gasztonyi, CTO of Mercury Security. “This integration enables Mercury OEM partners to incorporate Inovonics’ wireless duress and intrusion devices within their access control solutions.”
The solution will be demonstrated at ISC West.
