The Linked Senior Player, which can be set up as kiosks, provides nursing home residents with a range of audio and visual materials that they can access on-demand, at any time of the day. Residents can view or listen to talk shows, game shows, radio shows, YouTube videos or cooking shows. They can play games, send audio emails and more.

“This product can make a difference in the lives of so many seniors,” says Betty Short, the national director of resident programming for Watermark Retirement Communities. She oversees 26 Watermark facilities, with a combined 6,500 residents.

The kiosks are equipped with a computer with touch screen technology and headphones, which are designed to be simple enough for patients with a range of abilities to operate on their own.

Residents can use the kiosks without any preparations or assistance from other people.

Brain fitness
Linked Senior audio equipment can entertain, inform and give residents' minds a workout all at the same time. In addition to the audio content, Linked Senior provides brain fitness programs and educational resources. The senior player has five large tactile pushbuttons.
