McKnight’s has been honored with Gold Awards for writing, design and overall publication excellence in this year’s Hermes Creative Awards program.

The Daily Editors’ Notes led the way with Gold in the “Blog Overall” category in the social media division, while McKnight’s Long-Term Care News also starred with Gold in the “Publication Overall” category.

McKnight’s Art Director Mark Speakman won Gold in the “Marketing Materials” category for his design work on McKnight’s Online Expo materials. McKnight’s also earned Gold for marketing materials/collateral for a Medline supplement in the “Other” category.

The Daily Editors’ Notes blogs comprising the winning entry included columns by Senior Editor Elizabeth Newman (“Were the nursing home strippers really a bad idea?”), Editor James M. Berklan (“Provider denies it worked a nurse to death, but will court agree?”) and Editorial Director John O’Connor (“Plan of correction can be anything but, provider learns the hard way”).

In three years of Hermes competitions, McKnight’s has won 12 honors overall. Hermes awards are for creative professionals in marketing, communication, public relations and digital media. They are administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. Last Friday, McKnight’s also was honored with five 2015 ASHPE Awards.
