A distinguished panel of healthcare experts will gather today at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., to discuss strategies for improving care for seniors.
Hosted by the Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform at Brookings, the panel discussion will include input some of the top names in eldercare and health policy. Assistant Secretary for Aging Kathy Greenlee, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Director Carolyn Clancy, and former Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services administrator Mark McClellan will talk about models for payment and delivery system reforms, as well as legislative strategies to implement innovations in patient care. There will also be an informal discussion of the new Long-Term Quality Alliance.
The seminar, entitled “Health Care Reform and Older Americans: Achieving Better Chronic Care at Lower Costs,” will take place between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. EST at the Brookings Institution. More information on the event can be found at www.brookings.edu.
