Ruth Grande has been named executive director at The Samarkand, a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community operated by Covenant Retirement Communities.
Grande has more than 25 years of senior-level management experience in the senior living industry and hospitality. She previously worked as the Southern California regional general manager for Aegis Living.
Grande earned her bachelor’s degree from Minnesota State University. She also completed Stanford University’s Continuing Education Executive Programs and Cornell University’s Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management program.
She lives in Santa Barbara, and is a member and former chairwoman of the Santa Barbara Regional Chamber of Commerce.
