Fundamentally sound

While the nation's economy may be on shaky ground, market fundamentals remain strong for the seniors housing and care field, according to a new report from the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry. For both the assisted living and independent sectors, demand continued to grow in the first quarter, investigators found. "We're really not seeing a significant amount of stress on the industry as of yet from the spillover of the residential housing market and economic slowdown," said Michael Hargrave, vice president of NIC MAP.
