Ashby Ponds, an Erickson Living retirement community in Ashburn, VA, held a grand opening ceremony for its continuing care neighborhood last Thursday.

More than 125 guests attended the event, which included guided tours, keynote presentations, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Delegate Tag Greason, who represents the 32nd district in Virginia’s House of Delegates, served as the keynote speaker.

The new neighborhood features 132 residences for assisted living, post-acute rehabilitation, nursing care and memory care. It includes private apartment suites with full private baths and showers, walk-in closets, and granite countertops. Spas and salons, a theater room, family-style kitchens, and outdoor courtyards are among the other amenities.

The neighborhood at Ashby Ponds was designed by Lantz-Boggio Architects. Whiting-Turner served as the general contractor.
