EarlySense® and Custom Medical Solutions are becoming commercial partners. CMS will be offering rental programs, and direct bundled purchasing of the EarlySense System, the companies said.

“The partnership with CMS will allow us to answer a growing need in the alternate healthcare market to enhance residents’ safety and enable personalized care,” said Tim O’Malley, president of EarlySense Inc. “The EarlySense System has been shown to help reduce patient fall rates, the occurrence of pressure ulcers and to provide early warning of a potential patient deterioration. These are significant challenges that caregivers face today, and having non-intrusive, non-contact technology available to assist them in diligently monitoring their patients provides an added layer of safety.”

CMS customers will have a range of purchasing options and rental programs, according to president Jason Richardson.

“The EarlySense solution offers technology which is proactive, versus reactive, it is designed to assist the caregivers in being notified of pending adverse events, and thereby being able to assist the patient, avoiding compromise,” he said.
