Four food-service teams competed in the first-ever Chef Challenge at the 2008 conference of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.
The winner? Cura Hospitality, featuring Executive Chefs William Hockenberry, who works at Shenango Presbyterian Senior Care in New Wilmington, PA; and Joseph Baj, of Twining Village Retirement Community in Holland, PA. Coming in second was Morrison Senior Dining. Competing from this team were Kathleen Whiley of Friends Village in Woodstown, NJ; and Adam Grafton, director of dining services at Dock Woods Community, in Lansdale, PA.
