FormerSupreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor highlighted the event. O’Connorshared her experience as a caregiver to her husband, John, who was diagnosedwith Alzheimer’s in 1990. The speakers called for more funding and a nationalstrategy for this fatal illness, which now claims more than 5 million victims.Currently, there are no products available to cure Alzheimer’s.
