The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced its 73 new “innovation advisers” on Tuesday. They will work with the CMS Innovation Center to improve care delivery to Medicare beneficiaries.

The advisors, chosen from a pool of over 900 applicants, will not become employees of CMS, but are expected to commit to at least 10 hours per week to the agency for the first six months.

To be considered for the program, potential advisors can be any professional employed by a public health or healthcare facility, institution or department, in roles such as physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, instructors, and non-clinicians (i.e. healthcare executives, practice managers).
