Care Innovations' product now FDA-cleared for home

Care Innovations™ Connect RCM (Remote Clinical Management) is now FDA-cleared for use in a home care setting, the company said.

Care Innovations expects Connect RCM to be commercially available to United States health plans and providers by the end of the year, and plans to expand the offering to Canada and the United Kingdom soon thereafter.

The product is the cloud-based patient application of the Care Innovations™ Guide platform.

A new cost model, involving an annual subscription based on clinicians and administrators, for all Guide platform deployments also is now available, the company said.

The company also is working on a product called Connect Caregiver, which allows patients to invite family caregivers into a secure web-based application in order to participate in their care. Connect Caregiver is currently under limited release in preparation for a larger commercial rollout in 2014.
