A new system is able to provide immediate notification of non-compliant hand hygiene events. The IntelligentM System involves healthcare workers wearing Smartbands, which interact with RFID and Bluetooth tags on sanitizer and soap dispensers, and equipment such as IV packaging.
The ditto Glucose Data System, which has a Bluetooth device, electronic logbook app, and secure web site, offers the ability to monitor blood glucose. The Biomedtrics product communicates with Bluetooth enabled devices, and an app receives the data and syncs with a secure website.
The Hapifork was unveiled this week in Las Vegas at the CES. This Bluetooth-enabled fork uses a combination of sensors to measure just how much a person is eating and how quickly. The product then will translate those metrics to either an iOS or web app.
