High incontinence rates among nursing home residents create emotional and financial burdens, according to a new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report released Wednesday.
» GOJO Industries presented the results of a study on electronic monitoring and hand hygiene at the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology Conference in June. The research was on the effect of the company's SMARTLINK Activity Monitoring System at two units of an acute care facility in Texas. It found the system created a significant increase in hand hygiene compliance.
