Tegaderm CHG IV Port Dressing

3M Critical and Chronic Care Solutions has launched its new 3M™ Tegaderm™ CHG Chlorhexidine Gluconate I.V. Port Dressing for patients with port devices under their skin, who are connected to a catheter for the purpose of central venous infusions.

The product allows a compatible antimicrobial CHG gel pad device specific for ports. It does not obstruct the I.V. insertion site, even in the presence of saline, blood and exudates. There is an adhesive-free window on the dressing.

Both the dressing and pad move with the patient and can be worn for up to seven days.

The Tegaderm™ CHG I.V. Port Dressing (3M catalog number 1665) is sold 25 dressings to a box, four boxes to a case. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has assigned the product Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) code A6268.
